I didn't see this one, but apparently it was more promising than the score indicates. Toronto's starters played well in the first quarter, leading 28-26 after one. Point guard Alvin Williams turned in a much better performance, finishing with 17 points and 4 assists. A slow start in the second quarter (no points in the first five minutes) proved to be the Raptors' downfall. Kevin Willis and Vince Carter had good games, with Carter scoring 21. The Celtics were led by the backcourt duo of Paul Pierce and Dana Barros, with 21 and 20 points respectively. The Raptors will get a 3rd crack at the Celtics in the season opener on February 5.
