The Redliners have had a write up in the Inpress music magazine, (Wed 30th June 1999, Issue no.565 p.47). Along with a photo of the band, the write up is very encouraging. Here is what was said:

"What I saw of the Redliners was rockin' blues pushing some great original material. They are led by a fantastic looking, smooth-moving frontman. The Redliners really had the crowd around their little fingers." Glenn Peters, Inpress 1998

The Redliners have received great reviews for the debut CD 29 released in 1998. They have demonstrated on disc the kind of energy that is evident in their live performances. Each of the band members are escapees from several of Melbourne's finest blues bands. The line-up features songwriter/vocalist Rod Paine, David Birtwell (guitar), Ben Peters (guitar), Shane Antonie (drums) and Tony Harwood on double bass. the band formed from a love of '50s rock 'n' roll, blues and '60s R&B. The Redliners have a great reputation as a rocking live band and have established themselves with a regular Friday night gig in Melbourne at the new Rainbow Hotel in Sydney Road, Brunswick. (Inpress, Issue No.565, wed 30th June 1999)

Their song "New Dress" was chosen by Molly Meldrum, in Molly's picks. Click on New dress from the list above to have a listen.

As mentioned on the first page the Redliners play every Friday at the Rainbow Hotel in Sydney Road, Brunswick. They start at around 9:30pm and go through till around 12:45am. It is a small pub but the atmosphere is great. If you feel like a dance, or you just want to kick back in one of the comfy kitchen chairs, then this is the place to do so.

The Current Redliners Cd is out now, just buy it from the boys at any of their gigs OR you can now buy it at HMV or Gaslight Music in the Blues Section.

They are currently recording their next Cd, which was supposed to come out last year, but should be out within a couple of months.
