I am writing in support of the workers at JB Fields and to ask that MEC immediately cancel any agreements with JB Fields until they have settled their strike in a fair manner. On Saturday November 21 I purchased a $420 parka from Outwardbound (?) because I will not shop at MEC until you discontinue carrying JB Fields products.

I have been a member of MEC for well over 10 years, first in Vancouver and now in Toronto. Christmas in my family has always included regular trips to MEC as part of our holiday shopping. This year I will boycott MEC because of your support of JB Fields. Should you continue to carry their products I will attend the next AGM of MEC and seek an answer to why the board of directors of my co-op are ignoring our co-op's own policy on sourcing of products.
