Today marked one full week in front of Eaton's (from 12Pm to 1PM every day).

Following our little scuffle with security on day two, Eaton's/mall security are behaving with a great deal of restraint, BUT if we do happen to go into the mall (ie. to use the phone, grab a coffee) we are stopped by security and they question us about our picket. This has happened on the two occasions that we have gone in, so clearly they are paying attention.

Today we were joined by some members of the United Steelworkers of America. They are from the Oregon Steel Mill in Pueblo, Colorada and have been on strike for a full year over very similar issues. They were up here picketing the Bank of Nova Scotia which is financially backing Oregon Steel in its efforts to break the union. Although the workers from Pueblo are returning to Colorado, Steelworkers from Regina have expressed an interest in helping out. They suggested that they perhaps picket Sears or the Bay, while CUPE 2419 continues to cover Eaton's.
