18th
Niagara Wolf Cubs
05/08/00
Dear Parents:
The 18th Niagara Wolf Cubs will be participating
in the Niagara/St. Catherines District Summer Cub Camp. The camp is being held June 2-4
at Camp Wetaskawin in St. Catherines.
There will be approximately 300 Cubs from both districts attending. The camp will cost $30.00 per Cub. This cost includes all food, a campfire
blanket crest, a ball cap and all weekend activities. Cubs may be dropped off at the camp no earlier than 6:30
pm on the Friday. If there is
a problem with getting your child to the camp, please speak to a leader and we
will make arrangements.
Attached are two forms that must be completed and returned
to us in order for your Cub to attend the camp. The first is the Physical Fitness Certificate. Please
fill this form out completely.
Please include any medical problem no matter how insignificant it may
seem. When filling out this
form please include your cubfs provincial medical plan number. We realize that this number is
private but in the unlikely event of an accident we need this number to obtain
medical aid for your youth. We
will destroy or return these forms to you at the end of the camp for privacy
reasons.
The second form is the Parent/Guardian Consent Form. When completing this form please
include any cellular, pager or work numbers where you may be reached over the
weekend in the event that we cannot reach you at home. Please include these numbers in the
secondary address area of the form.
Please let us know as soon as possible if you plan for your
child to attend. Forms and payment
must be received no later than May 29.
If you are able to return them to us sooner it would be appreciated.
Please see the attached kit list for what to bring and what
not to bring to the camp. Please
if possible have your Cub present when packing their bag so that they are aware
of what they are bringing to camp.
Please ensure that everything your Cub brings to camp is labeled. We are not responsible for lost items
and anything that the leaders carry home will be $.25 to get back. For any Cubs that require medication
please put all meds into a zip lock type bag with instructions written on the
outside.
If you have any additional questions regarding the camp
please do not hesitate to speak to any member of the leadership team.
Yours In Scouting
Paul McPherson,
