Foal Information:

Heaven has foaled one foal that I know about. The Eyes of the Blaque Heavens who is also training dressage. She is not up for brood.

Temperment

Heaven truely is an exceptional horse. I adopted her when she was 4 along with her foal The Eyes of the Blaque Heavens. She is a beautiful purebred friesian. She took the move to Seabreeze very hard and had numerous vices after she went into her new stall. Day after day, she would not calm down. She seemed to be very depressed, and moody. She bit, kicked, bolted while being led. Her stall habits were even worse. She cribbed, chewed on her buckets (even with that awful smelling stuff you put on it so that they won't chew it) and on the wood in her stall. She pawed, weaved, and wouldn't let anybody come near her. We let her have her time to settle in, but that made it even worse. We moved her colt to the stall next to her and that made it better, but we still couldn't figure out why her stable manners were so bad. Finally one day I decided to take a chance with her and put on the lunge equipment and longe her. Her movement was absolutely spectacular, and she loved to work. She was a very different Friesian. Under saddle she was even more talented. With her willingness to work, and a newly revealed kind temperment we moved up fairly quickly in the levels of dressage.

Training

Heaven knows her walk, trot and canter under saddle and on the lunge using voice commands. She knows alot of lateral work, including turn on the haunches, turn on the forehand, leg yeilding, shoulder-ins, travers, reinback, all at the walk and trot.

Her transitions don't need any work as they are so smooth. Her walk, is very large strided, she has rhythm and lightness. Her trot is also large strided, and her impulsion is visible at this. It is very elevated and engaged from behind. Her canter is very smooth and rolling. Very nice. She also does a very nice counter canter, and flying lead changes.

She can do 10 meter circles at all gaits, and does extension and collection at every gait too. She does walk to canter transitions, and does trot to halt transitions, and is just starting halt to canter transitions.

She's now competing at the 1st-2nd level with room to move up. Her stable manners have rapidly improved as well. Just as long as her prized colt is in the stall beside her. She's the perfect horse, lacking complete manners in the barn, but we're working on it. She's also become a favorite for the Sunday hack. People put their names on a list to ride such a talented crreature, and she never fails to light up their eyes...Uh... Under saddle that is :)
