You climb slowly up the passageway to this weyr.It has
become noticable that there are very few weyrs up this
way.You finally reach the entrance.Another entrance
mirrors this one,but you go in this one.Inside is a
girl of about 14 turns.She has waist-length dark brown
hair tied messily back in two braids.She turns to you
and says,"Hello,I'm Katalina.This is my weyr.Have you
met my sisters,Katrina,Katelyn,and Katy,or my brothers,
K'tan and K'tar?"she asks pleasantly.You pause,thinking,then
shake your head."Well,let me get you a bubbly pie,"she
says.She bustled off to the kitchen,and you amuse
yourself by looking around.There is a flute in one
corner atop a shelf,along with a set of pipes.On the wall opposite the shelf is a tapestry depicting a Threadfall.It is woven rather poorly but you can tell that the person worked hard on it.On a third wall is a painting.The painting shows a white runnerbeast.Above the painting is a shelf with several different variations of oil,numbweed,and other medicines."So,having a good time snoopoing about my things?"asks Katalina in an amused tone as she comes back into the room.In one hand she holds a bubbly pie,in the other is a mug of klah.She hands both to you and only then do you notice the two firelizards on her shoulders.One is a blue the color of skies at midnight,the other,a dark black-green shade.
"The blue is Jar and the green is Star,"she says."I named them similarly so I wouldn't get them confused with any of the other fairs here,"Katalina explains."My siblings and I were born at Nyte Tyme Weyr,which isn't really a weyr,it's more like a cothold than anything but oh well.My cousin Karily,you've probably met her,she used to live there.I think she still does maybe,I don't know.She lives here too though,"she says.A lage gold dragon rumbles from the dragoncouch."This is Trianth.I was soo happy that I got a queen!J'dar's bronze Amyth just caught her in a mating flight.I Impressed her from Snow Weyr,"says Katalina."I'd tried my hand at many things before I Impressed,as you can see from the walls,"she says,smiling wryly as she gestures to the tapestry,the healing supplies,the flute and pipes,and the painting.She then lifts up the shards what appears to be an egg of some sort.
"I have a burgundy male from Minidragon Isle,at Kalenik Sands.His name is Par,so all my animals,except of course Trianth, have rhyming names.That way,I'm able to keep track of them better.And there he is,"she says,as a burgundy minidragon appears from the side.
."Isn't he wonderful?He works with rune cards well.My friend Kayzi has a few minis too and we compare tips on how to raise them,"Kat adds."Well,I'd best be moving on,"you tell her."Ok,see ya later,come back and visit me!"she calls after you as you trudge down the passageways.It's bound to be easier going down than up.
