to the bill of complaint

Robt. Glasgow)
        adv.
John Glasgow &) others)
The amended or supplemental answer of Robert Glasgow the defendant to the bill of complaint of John Glasgow and others, Complainants.
This defendant for futher answer to the said bill answering saith that since the filing his answer in this case he hath received a letter from Alexander Davidson of Ireland the agent or administrator of the estate of Archibald Willson decd. in which he informs this defendant that the one hundred & fifty pounds chattel property received by this defendant of Mr. Rogers and already set forth in this defendant's former answer as received by him was sent to this defendants mother & not to this defendant that this defendant is entitled to no part of the personal property of the said Archibald Willson but that the same according to the rules of legal representation in Ireland was divided into thirteen parts among the next of kin of the said Archibald & of whom this defendants mother was one. That the real estate of the said Archibald was divided into six equal parts & which by the laws of Ireland descended to the eldest heirs male alive at the death of the said Archibald of the six sisters of the said Archibald and that this defendant is entitled to one sixth part thereof as eldest heir male alive at the death of Archibald Willson of one of the sisters to wit Rachel his paternal grandmother" And this defendant further saith that he hath accordingly paid back to Mr. Rogers the one hundred and fifty pounds aforesaid and that Mr. Rogers hath paid the same over to this defendants said mother - all which information aforesaid this defendant believes to be true and insists on the same benefits as if this matter had been in his original answer a copy of which letter is herewith filed and prays as heretofore to be hence dismissed with his costs and charges.
