The Raven's Info

My name is Samantha M. Wu. Raven is one of my many aliases. As you may have already figured it out, I am Wiccan (a Witch in simpler terms). More about Wicca will be explained in the section of my site with that such name.

I started learning about Wicca four years ago and a year after I started, I dedicated myself and now I've been an active practitioner ever since. My Wiccan name is Amarantha WhiteRaven. I am an Eclectic Wiccan specializing in Dream Interpretation, Gem/Crystal Healing, meditation, astral travel and Candle Magick. At the moment I am learning Tarot Cards, Runes, Palmistry Faery Wicca and Dragon Magick.I will be forming a coven with my friends who are also Wiccan soon. More news on that to come.

I was born on August 31, 1983 in Toronto. My current residence is within the community of Thornhill inside the city of Vaughan right above Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I am Chinese born Canadian and proud of it. I live with my mom, dad and younger brother Nicky (11).

I am a devoted fan of the Backstreet Boys. They are my influence and inspiration to achieve great goals within the entertainment business. I take my writing to a serious length, having written the Fan Fiction Novels on this site, a good number of other stories, articles, songs, poetry, screenplays, and scripts. My goal in life is to become an actress/singer/writer. Someone who I look up to with a great deal of respect that has achieved such a status as I only yearn to get is none other then the innovator known as Jewel Kilcher or just Jewel to her fans. And of course, there's the ever eclectic Madonna. I'm a self proclaimed Madonna freak, in all stages of her career.

The inspiration for my Horror/Drama/Action Fan Fiction Novels are collected from various sources.

The Vampire Chronicles (The World of Ricean Vampires):

In 1994, the movie Interview with the Vampire was released starring Tom Cruise as the dashing and daring "Perfect Devil" The Vampire Lestat de Lioncourt and Brad Pitt as the remarkably human and melancholic Louis de Pointe du Lac. After seeing that movie, I immediately fell in love with these characters and saught out to delve further into their lives throughout eternity. I read the novel that the movie was based on and and then began to read the other novels that followed: The Vampire Lestat, The Queen of the Damned, The Tale of the Body Thief, Memnoch the Devil, The Vampire Armand, and Pandora. I have finished Rice's latest novel Merrick and can easily say it is one of her best linking The Vampire Chronicles and The Lives of the Mayfair Witches together. The Mayfair Witches are my inspiration for The Tales of the Andromeda Witches but that's another story. I shall explain that one another time. Soon, I will create a more extensive tribute to the Ricean Vampires. Look out for that.

The Crow:

One of my favorite shows created from the concept of the hit Cult movie series The Crow. The idea of 'When a soul dies, a crow carries their spirit to The Land of the Dead. But sometimes, the soul carries with it such sadness that the crow has trouble bringing it over. And sometimes, just sometimes, the crow will bring the soul back to set things right.' Eric Draven was brutally murdered by being thrown out the window of his penthouse apartment, his girlfriend Shelly raped then murdered as well by the same group of criminals. Only when Eric went to join Shelly in The Land of the Dead, she told him that his Crow would have to bring him back to set things right. Instead of dying from that fall, he came back. And he sits in his now abandoned apartment listening to voices inside his mind (Shelly's voice) to hear instructions of what he has to do to set things right and how he could possibly get back to his one true love, in The Land of the Dead.

Buffy: The Vampire Slayer

A hit show created by Joss Whedon based on the hit movie with the same name. Sarah Michelle Gellar plays Buffy Summers, an average pretty high school girl with a very abnormal night life. She is the Slayer, the Chosen One. "As long as there have been demons, there has been the Slayer. One girl in all the world, a Chosen one, born with the strength and skill to hunt vampires and other deadly creatures, to find them where they gather and to stop the spread of their evil and the swell of their numbers. When one Slayer dies, the next is called and trained by the Watcher." Taken from the Official Buffy The Vampire Slayer Web site Buffy under The Library, under The Slayer. I couldn't have put it better myself, for that is the legend of the Slayer. One of my favorite characters is Willow Rozenberg played by Alyson Hannigan. She is a dabbling Witch, a literal Wiccan who learnt her skills and practiced her powers. After lots of hard training, she was able to make a pencil float. Unlike what most Witches created by television or movies are portrayed as.

Charmed:

An awesome show about three Halliwell Sisters: Prue (Shannen Doherty), Piper (Holly Marie Combs), and Pheobe (Alyssa Milano). They are born Witches, a birthright passed down within their family. They learn of their duty and inheritance through their Book of Shadows. They learn that the Halliwell Family of Witches are to help the innocent and fight off Warlocks, former Witches who failed to follow The Wiccan Rede (An ye harm none, do what ye will), and would want to kill the Sisters and entrap their powers. They do have powers. Prue: Telekinesis (able to move objects within sight with one's mind) Piper: Time Freezing Pheobe: Premonitions (To receive sharp visions of specific events that will happen or had happened.) Throughout the show the sisters learn to trust one another, rely on co-operation, accept their birthright, grow with their powers and to basically draw in closer as a family. Despite the fact that real Witches do not have special powers, I believe that for the most part, the show can seem realistic.

"The Immortal" A Young Adult novel written by Christopher Pike:

A great book about a teenage girl named Jose and her friend Helen vacationing in Greece with Jose's father, a struggling screenplay writer and his model girlfriend. During her stay in Greece, Jose receives unusual and extremely vivid dreams that she is the Greek Goddess Sryope, a Goddess with the talent to tell great and unique stories ar the drop of a hat. As these dreams develop, Sryope realizes that she is on trial for killing a fellow Goddess, which normally isn't possible but it did happen. As the story progresses, we realize that the Goddess Sryope is inside the mortal body of Jose, a girl who once suffered a near fatal experience. A great book that I suggest everyone take the chance toread.

"Remember Me": A Young Adult novel written by Christopher Pike:

Sharri Cooper woke up after attending a girl friend's 18th birthday party. Only to realize that her parents and her brother will not acknowledge her presence. Confused at this, she follows her parents to the hospital morgue after a quite disturbing phone call that drove her mother to tears. At the morgue, they identify the corpse. Sharri is shocked beyond imagination when she sees that the corpse lying there is herself and she is a ghost, a spirit. She then visits her friends that also attended the girl's party. They tell their stories of the night of the party and the detective in charge has trouble believing that Sharri jumped from the girl's parent's rooftop condominium to the concrete patio almost 30 stories below. Sharri also believed that she did not commit suicide but that one of the people she thought were her close friends really had a death wish in store with her. She is guided to the truth by a being called The Shadow. Something worse then Death itself, Reality. She also gets help from her good friend Peter, a ghost like herself, only he died a year ago from a motorcycle accident. With the information from The Shadow and the help of Pete to teach her of being a ghost she finds her killer and learns the Reality of her past that was meant to stay hidden. Another very intriguing and fascinating novel, a great selection.
