Open Wounds

As I journey through this place we call the web, I have come to realize something. We all have things in our lives that we can tell no one. Things that are so painful for us , we can't even bear to speak them aloud. But here, on the web, in our groups, we can express those things. We have an outlet for the pain.

I feel that I have a story that I need to tell. I have told it many times before. In church, as I speak to people on the streets, people I have worked with. Many times the pain has been put forth in words. And many times the wounds have been reopened. But if the things that have happened to me, can help someone else, then the reopening of an old wound is well worth the pain that it causes.

I will not tell it here as this is not the place for it. My point is this; We tell some of these things while we are online to help ourselves to heal. To get some release from the chains that bind us. I don't ever wish for that to stop. But, what I do wish for is that we could all go to our neighbors, those who sit by us at work, those who sit by us on the bus, those who go to church with us. Go to them and tell them of the things that are to painful to speak of. Put those things into actual and literal words and help others to heal, likewise.

If all of us have pain and wounds and sorrow buried deep within, then doesn't our neighbor have them, also?

Let's just remember that the things life throws our way are not always fair, they are not always right, but they are only things and cicumstances! We choose what to do with them!

Let's use them to heal others and not to cripple ourselves.
