These are some of the best cheats for the game.Ones with a "*" beside them are ones that I have not tested so I don't know if they work. MASTERBALL CHEAT Hold the button combinations for the different PokeBalls when you throw them. GREAT BALL-UP AND A POKEBALL-DOWN AND B ULTRA BALL- DOWN AND A This does not work for the Safari ball, but you can make it close tighter by holding A after youn throw it. DUPLICATE ITEM CHEAT (x120) This cheat lets you duplicate rare items. Put the item you want in the sixth slot of your item inventory by pressing select on the item you want. For example, if the item you want to duplicate is in the seventh slot, deposite an Item you want in the PC. Now, fly to viridian city. Watch the man show you how to catch Pokemon, them immediatly fly to Fuchsia city. Go to the bottom right corner of the city until you get to the shore. Then surf far to the left then once you reach the wall, go down. Then follow the wall to the left until you get to a place where you are half on land, half on water(There will be a thick brown bar).Surf up and down this area until you run into MISSINGNO. and or "M". You can either beat or run from them (Running is alot easier. The trick still works). Then you will have a strange little icon beside the item. Use that item until you have one left then repeat the sequence to recieve 120 of that Item over and over. CATCH STARTING POKEMON IN THE WILD For the red version, I have only tested this with Charmander. First, pick a Pokemon at the beginning of the game. Play through until later on later in the game you will come to Cinnabar Island.This means you must have already passed the SeaFoam Islands. Do all of the stuff for the Item Duplication cheat, and when you reach the shore of The SeaFoam Islands, you should come passed one of the starting Pokemon.It will be at level 160 or 179 when you catch it, then after the first battle it goes into, it will evolve. Now, it will be at level 100, and it will stay like that forever. Here's a trick I learned. Once you catch it, give it a rare candy. It will evolve. Now, put it in a battle. It will do it's final evolution. CATCH MISSINGNO. To catch MISSINGNO., you must first fly to Viridian, then to SeaFoam, yaddyaddyadda, then you will come across MISSINGNO..Just let me remind you that 50 out of 100 times that you catch him he will erase and\or seriously screw up your game.CAUTION:Do NOT catch the mysterious "M" Pokemon.He is like MISSINGNO. only 99 times out of 100 he will erase your game and can make it unable to ever be played again.DO NOT CATCH "M" MISSINGNO. may look powerful, but actually he is very weak.A Scratch from a level 5 Charmander can and will make him faint.
