RETURN TO INNOCENCE
The eagle of America's freedom,
Above the mountain fly's serene,
America in all its splendor,
The purple mountains and the
streams.
A nation numbed by horror,
United in its grief,
The feelings and emotions, In
every American runs so deep.
Tomorrow brings a new day,
A day that's filled with hope,
With the dawn of a new tomorrow,
We'll sculpt our nation's growth.
It won't happen in an hour,
It won't happen in a day,
With strength and unity,
We must all begin to pray.
Our flag is a symbol, Of freedom
and pain,
Our soldiers have fought, And
died for our gain,
Majestic it waves, Over land and
sea,
The red, white and blue, Our
legacy.
With every day that passes,
Our strength will multiply,
You'll feel a return to yourself,
From deep down inside.
Replenished like a river,
After a long hard rain,
We'll feel the return to
innocence,
After the dauntless pain.
