Have you ever felt that someone else has let you down? Sometimes people don't realize the needs of others. What do we do when we are disappointed by peoples actions? How do we respond when we are feeling angry or rejected? I often ask myself the question, "What would Jesus do?" He has given everyone the freedom to choose whether or not to accept Him. Yet, how does He respond when people choose to reject Him? He is patient and not easily angered. He doesn't expect or demand anything from us. His love is totally unconditional regardless of how we respond.
If you are feeling sad and rejected the good news is that He understands how you feel. With His help, our experiences can be turned into something really positive. We can make the same choice to release any anger or expectations that we may have of other people. We can choose to be patient and seek the Lord's guidance instead. I've found that there are many good reasons to put our faith and trust in the Lord. Most importantly, He will stay by our side and give us the wisdom to handle every situation. Another thing is for certain. Even though there will be times when others let us down, we can always depend upon Him. The Lord will never let us down.
On this we can rely.
For this God is our God for ever and ever;
He will be our guide even to death.
Psalms 48:14The Lord is good,
A stronghold in the day of trouble;
And He knows those who trust in Him.
Nahum 1:7And we know that ALL things
work together for good to those
Who love God, to those who are
The called according to His purpose.
Romans 8:28
