The Meligrove Band is completely finished recording, mixing and mastering for their debut CD, Stars and Guitars. The fourteen song disc will be out in late March! For more info go to ductape records
The CD Release for Stars and Guitars is on April 27th on the ground floor of the El Mocambo in Toronto. Admission is $5 and it is a licensed/all ages event. Palomar (from Buffalo NY - formerly known as The Johnnyfive) are opening, along with a couple local bands tba.
There will be lots of giveaways and stuff going down.

Neck have re-mastered their 1995 debut album 'Christiana' and it is available on cd for the first time.The cd will is out now.The original was a limited run tape release of 200 copies and was never actually mastered because we were drinking alot and everything sounded just fine at the time. NOW magaizne called Christiana at the time- "...display(s) the breadth of their record collections...17 bursts of wound- fuzz pop and offering a comprehensive scope of today's underground sound...explosions of Sebadoh and Unrest worship...grinning harmonies...". Also to be included on the cd will be neck's first recorded output- the 7 " entitled "45 rpm". EXCLAIM said..." melody is a hook and noise and distortion can be hooks as well when noise is larded on to a solid pop song sometimes something magical happens..."
Also included will be a single track- "floral dress" which was on the 1994 "Leisure Terrorists" compilation of underground toronto pop. EYE magazine called the song at the time "...annoying sub-lush vocals poured like tar over guitars.... total losers...worst track... A headache with your name on it..." (a stunning debut,well we liked the song ,and still do!) The cd will be available from the neck website. Also neck are back in the studio mixing their upcoming new album with the tentative title of "Trampoline" 19 songs,33 minutes. Label searching is on the go for the album so a release date is unavailable at the moment.
