The two latest albums that I have by female artist are Dido's 'No angel' and Emiliana Torrini, Dido is this week at #1 on the English album chart and #2 on the Swedish album chart. Both their albums came out in 1999 and still Dido manages to reach the #1 position now. One reason is that Enimen features part of her song 'Thank you' in the hit 'Stan'. 'Thank you' was featured in the movie 'Sliding doors' from 1999. Talking of movies 'Magnolia' got the award of best foreign movie in Sweden this year. To this movie Aimee Mann has done some really wonderful song that are some of her best work so far. She has released an album last year called 'Bachelor No2' that features some of her songs on the Magnolia soundtrack. Back to Emiliana Torrini did you know that she is from Iceland? I did order it from Ginza and got it today so I cannot really say so much about it just now. On the news page I have added a press release about a group called 'Red to violet'- check it out.
