HARVEST STEW
1 lb. lean stew meat
1/4 C. shortening
1/4 C. flour
1 envelope of brown gravy mix
1 medium onion, chopped
1 10 oz. can tomatoes
5 carrots peeled and sliced
5 stalks celery sliced
4 medium potatoes, peeled and sliced
Dash of Worchestershire Sauce
Salt and pepper to taste, garlic salt to taste
2 - 8 oz. glasses of water
Combine all ingredients in crock pot, Turn pot on high for 3 hours then
to low for 3-4 hours, testing for doneness at intervals. Stir when
checking.
