Race Director UpDates .....After reviewing the stats from Wed.Dec.5, 2001.
With all the DNF's and cars down laps in
the heats from being bumped out of the way I have no
alternative,but to enable CAR DAMAGE on
race night. From now on we will run with it on, so we
can't be bumping each other out of the way without
hurting our own cars as well. The
bump- and- run has to be elminated!
Good Clean Racing is fun, from now on if we go
flying into the turns will wreckless abandon, the
guy we hit will not be the only one to pay!!! We
will wreck our own car too. DAMAGE-ON,
will now become a RULE ATTENTION!!!!-------All

Race #2 Well, as if there was any doubt......RCA would'nt blow the doors off anything that moved!!!!! That loss by an inch last week, must have kept him awake at night!!! He totally devistated the field!!! Winning the "35Lap" "A MAIN", by almost a lap!!! His total time, to run 35 laps was 7min.43.71sec....That's 11.79sec. ahead of 2nd place finisher Flyin1A, and a full lap ahead of 3rd place Wingit. The "A MAIN" win was the icing on the cake for RCA, he had already set the fast time for the night, a track record12.86,sat on top in the heats by winning all 5 of them, thus giving him a clean sweep of the bonus points. Not a bad night Bro!!! Good fun, an' wait till next week at, PIKE COUNTY 3/4mi. NITRO!!!!! GONNA RUN WEDNESDAY!!!!! |

....Does Rick"The Rocket" Agnew have the hot set-up on the short tracks? or what? Stretching his un-beaten streak to 2 in a row, he once again had the field covered. although he didn't steal the fast lap extra point ,he sat on top after the heats for that bonus point, and never looked back, in a flawless victory. With almost a "full field " of sprinters on hand, Wing-it was over-heard in the pits mumbling something about being "on the 401 at rush hour....DOH! Except for a few over-excited moves, and some that bent other's pride in expertise, it was a great night of racing!!!!! With the win RCA opens up a 7-point lead.....(but he's on aft.shift this week)....Flyin1a will still have his work cut out for him, trying to wrestle away the points lead. The club would also like to welcome the arrival, (with much anticipation,and waiting for his Dad to bring his game back..LOL) of S.O.S. Sprint Car Driver Matt "THE KID" Fortner from Ingersoll Ont. You can down- load his car-skin on the web site.(Members skins) Another "New Driver",Rookie ChrisSteeler, set the fast event time posting a blistering "14.29" in the heats. "Way to go Chris" If he can keep up those kind of times, and maybe throw in a few manners here and there, He should be A GOOD BET TO WIN THE POINTS!!!!!!!!!! Race #4 ...........The streak ended at 2.....As Flyin' Brian put the kiebosh on RCA's string of victories!!!!! ............After a clean sweep at Hagerstown last week, Rick's Rocket kinda' sputtered as he raced his way back, to a humbling, 5th place finish. The early leader,looking as if he would notch his first win, was Wheeler!!! "The green flag dropped and he (Wheeler) was gone!!!" said Flyin Brian....in his post race interview. "I had to start at the back, after sitting on top in the heats, and all I could see was Wheeler getting farther ahead." "Traffic was pretty thick,at the start, so I just set myself to a steady pace and hoped for the best." "With everyone trying to race too early, the next thing I new I was reaping the rewards of saving my tires." "With 10 laps to go,I had cleared the traffic and had a shot at Wheeler." " I proceeded to lay down some hard laps, but I still couldn't get enough to catch up." But, with a handfull of laps left, Wheeler touched a wheel where he shouldn't have, and that was the end of dumping the Gatorade on the crew-chief. Flyin went by on the outside and drove to his second win of the series. Other noteable stats for the night, saw Wing-it, from Tillsonburg On. scoring his first heat win of his rookie season. JD3 cleaned off the cobwebs and won one of the heats, but with Wing-it showing up in third, and Buck-J coming in a fast fourth!!!! the points were juggled a bit to say the least. Wheeler now ties with Wing-it for third, and Buck-J sneaks up a spot to fifth. The racing is getting closer each week, as the drivers become more adjusted to the NITROHORSEPOWER!!!!!!! RIDES AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Starting tail
in the A Main was no deficit to "THE ROSELAND
ROCKET" as he blasted his way back to victory
lane once again this week. Taking a big bite out of
Flyin's point lead, RCA notched his 3rd series win.
Joining RCA on the podium this week was a smiling Wheeler
scoring a 3rd place finish, and Flyin Brian, finishing
2nd. "I was just trying to keep you in my
mirror", Wheeler said to Buck in the pits after the
Main. "Ya!, I was charging hard, on your
tail", was the reply from Buck. The two of
them put on a spectacular show of hard racing in the
closing laps of the event. Rookie sensation, Chris
Steele(Steeler) told this reporter in the pits before the
Main, he was "struggling with his set-up", but
somehow managed to set the second fastest time in the
Main of 14.10. (struggling??..Hmmmm) Local Tilsonburg
favorite,Wing-it....put his ride in the trailer early,
complaining of a servere head ache. This reporter
believes it had something to do with him scoring his
first win last week, and his helmet being a bit too

.......Race #6 Who could believe we're 6 races into the series already? This reporter is pretty well impressed with some of the racing so far. "THE ROCKET" returned to vicory lane this week, topping the field in an aggressive win. Flyin Brian stayed steady, finishing 2nd, holding on to top spot in the points, by a slim single point! Wing-it posted a solid 3rd, closing up the battle between him and Wheeler in the series points (2 between them). T.N.N. would like to take this opportunity to announce the arrival of......."The Man From The Dark Side".....The #18 Sprinter of...."TODDYYY BOYYYSKI"... Boyski set himself a finish to beat, he ran 4th in one of his heats on his first night!!! Good start Todd!!! Steeler broke the heat win goose egg this week, taking "3 Wins" out of five!!! Here we go..... racing survival at it's best.....Setting a slow-but sure pace in the "A-MAIN" Flyin' Brian said, "the next thing I knew I was leading it!" " I had a pretty close call one time, about half way thru." Wheeler and some-one else did a perfect criss-cross manouver right in front of me."" I laid off the gas once, stood on it an' closed my eyes, an' made it thru.""After that I just watched the mirror and saved my tires." A good strategy, it turned out, because this reporter over-heard the crew of the 1a before the green flag dropped, saying they forgot to put on the hard tires for the MAIN!!! You could see the 1a slowing down in the closing stages of the race. The "BIG STORY" comes from the new guy!!!!! Yes race fans, "THE DEDMAN" "TODDY BOYSKI" In only his second race of the season posted an unbelievable, second place finish!!! The tunes were really blasting in the Mosh Pit after Boyski returned from post race inspections. In his interview, Boyski said, "I was just trying to survive the 25 laps." Flyin at one point had almost an 8 second lead on me" " my radio man kept telling me to be patient" "I knew I was closing fast, because my tires were still in great shape" Closing fast he was. The clock does'nt lie. with about 6 laps to go Boyski was still about a staight-away back. At the end, he was only 2.04 seconds back and that was dwindling even as the checkers flew. The SLAM DANCING went on into the wee hours of the morning. Some thing about letting the bodies hit the floor.....but from this reporters vantage point, I could'nt see the floor for empty beer bottles!!! Good run...Mister Dedman. We'll be watching you a little closer in weeks to come. Next week marks the first time we race on NITRO Tracks. Dec.19,2001.***MUSKOGEE III NITRO*** *** 25 LAPS***DOUBLE POINTS*** "TWO IN A ROW.....did'nt think it would happen!!!" Were the first words out of this week's "A-Main" winner, as he posed for his second-straight, top of the podium, snapshot. "My car was flaw-less, the cushion up top was really sticky, and I'm not changin' a thing for the next race here!!!" Flyin has been running strong, and has led the points for a few weeks,but, he can't seem to be consistant enough to string any together. Now there is competition to make it three staight. RCA has put back-to-back wins together "twice" before. If you take away the RCA/ Flyin1a factor, you will see the most consistant finisher in the last five events, is Wheeler, he has finished 3rd three times and 2nd once, to solidify himself into the 3rd place point slot. The top five spots in the points race, got even tighter, with Steeler moving up to tie Buck-J in 5th. Police called to barn raising!!! Tillsonburg,Ont.....Police were called several times to a barn rasing of a differnt kind on Friday Dec. 28. It seems the "Tillsonburg Tornado" was raising this barn off the ground!!! Taking the checkerd flag in his first ! "A-MAIN " win!!! Tillsonburg's favorite son qualified second overall after the heats, set a smooth pace at the start and started to stretch his lead over 2nd place, and eventual DNF, Flyin Brian. In the post race interview, Wing-it, (affectionately known as Wing-nut), was asked if he could see Flyin' chasing him.....he said......"my dog smells when he farts".....he's not much for small talk, or interviews for that matter, this reporter found out. Later, at the (whiskey) keg party, Lester Flatt, and Earl Skruggs were just jammin'....'till the wee hours of the morning.....that's when this reporter found out that the best thing cows have to do at 5:30 A.M. is....fight for the top of the poop pile.........Until next week.....this is Farmblade Tractor-rod reporting.....T.N.N. COUNTY II***TWIN TWENTY'S***NITRO* Well, the "Tillsonburg Tornado" was right back at it this week. Although the fast event time,13.63, was turned by Flyin Brian, in the preliminarys. Wing-it set the fast lap in the heats. His time of 16.68, was the quick one, and there was only a difference of...0.48 sec. between 1st and 6th fastest time. Less than 1/2 sec.(0.25) separated the top five sprinters. The racing was so close in the heats, the top qualifying spot was shared this week. RCA and Flyin both had enough to tie for the extra points. Flyin' received the fast lap time bonus. For the first time, T.N.N (The Nitro News) sponsored The Holiday'Twin20' Championships, which will see RCA carry that crown, until it goes up for grabs again, next January. "Rick The Rocket" from north end St.Catharines, took the first Twenty Lapper with Flyin' chasing him right to the flag, only 0.38 sec. behind, and closing. Four out of six cars were all still on the lead lap at the finish. The second Twenty Lapper was a little different. RCA drove once again into victory lane, and had much praise for his...ALL NEW..."CAMPBELL" chassis. Prepared for him by local gaming "Ace" Kevin Campbell. Gaining 16 points over Flyin', RCA now becomes the point leader. |
| In the rookie department, Chris Steele (Steeler) finished impressively, turning in two top three finishes, and second most points for the event, third most points for the event went to Wayne Maracle (Wheeler) with two top five finishes. "The New Guy" Bri2K, driving a second entry from the 1a stable, was a little nervous, but never the less, turned a few heads by running consistant laps in the heats (qual.4th) and although he DNF'd the first Feature, came back to a fourth place in the second. |

RACE #11***MUSKOGEE III***25LAPS***NITRO PATIENCE PAYS OFF BIG-TIME!!!!! There's that "P" word again!!! But that's what brought Rookie sensation "The Boomer" Bri2K (soon to be driving the "Big Brown Sprint-Car) a TON of success this week. " I"m just gonna try to stay outta' trouble", he said to car-owner Flyin' Brian. Then he strapped himself in for what was going to be the ride of his fast-blooming carreer!!! He turned in an impressive 2nd place finish!!!This reporter caught up with him during post-race inspections.......he said......"now"? And then after that he went on rambling something about getting his first heat win, and "now I won't have a "0" like them other guys in the heat-win list. Talking about zero's.....Wheeler does'nt have one there either. He posted his first heat-win as well as recovering from a scuffle on lap 19 of the Main with RCA to finish 3rd. #12***GAS CITY 820 HP***35 LAPS*** A night of excitment......Two drivers smashed track records this week, as the "820 HP" cars returned to action! Marking his return in the record books this week, JD3 trimmed the fast event time by 0.15 100ths of a second turning in a blistering 10.84!!! The record was held by 2nd place rookie in the series,"Steeler"@ 10.99. The other record to fall, was the A-Main itself, use your own adjective, to describe 6min.41 sec.flat!!!!!The old record, held by"RCA" @ 6:49.93, fell by some 8.93 sec. Maybe that 6:41.00 was a result of Flyin'Brian chasing RCA in the main, then in post-race inspection, finding RCA to have the wrong motor in his car. "I was pedaling that little motor as fast as it would go, and RCA still blew by me like I was going backwards" Flyin' remarked outside the tear-down garage. With the win, Flyin' re-gains the points lead, and ties the A-Main win total at six, with RCA. As a result of RCA going to the rear of the field, the rookies took over the rest of the podium. Young lion, "Steeler" took the honours of second, with the Big brown sprint car....of Bri2K, turning in yet another smooth, and steady finish, in third place. Since he has joined the T.N.N.tour, Bri2K(the smooth... and steady) has drawn some recent fan attention in the pits! In the last 5 events, "Boomer" has posted 4 top five's, and two of those, including this week, have been second place! Steeler, thinking he was looking good in fifth place in points, now has the heat on Tilsonburg's favorite son, Wing-it for fourth place in points, and just maybe, the rookie title, with this week's heat win, young Steeler ties Wing-it with 7 heat wins, and now sits just 3 slim points behind. Here are the stats for this week, and, just to show you how close the competition is getting, if you lined up our cars, and raced them by a camera at the finish line, the difference of 0.35 100ths of a sec. between first and last would not let you blink without missing "THE WHOLE FIELD" going by!!!!!!
