This page is an atempt of my own, with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, to tell all those not familliar with the message of the hour why God sent a prophet in these times to preach the Word to this last age. I am, in no way, trying to point to a man. I am pointing to the God who chose the man to be His prophet.

-Bro. Scott

Throughout time, God has chosen men to preach His Gospel. Any one who has read the Bible knows this to be true. In the Old Testament, men like Abraham, Moses, David, Samuel, Elijah, and Isaiah, to name a few, were chosen by God to be examples to the world around them of the power of almighty God. All of the men God chose were human, flesh and blood, fallable men. God didn't chose them because of how they lived or who thew were. He chose men He could use.

At times, God sent a man to call to His people to repent and change thier evil ways and return to the way of the Lord. When the children of Israel had a king named Ahab, who let Jezebel sway his mind and do evil in the sight of God, the Lord raised up Elijah from out of the wilderness to call all those who were following Ahabs lead to leave off and return to God. Elijah brought the vindication of God, through signs and wonders, along with his message so that the true believers would know that the message was of God and not of man. The signs and wonders were not the message, and without the message, the signs and wonders would do nothing to tell the people of thier fallen state. The signs and wonders only got the attention of the people so they would listen and repent.

Some people say," That was in the Old Testament, God sent Jesus then, and now there is no need for a prophet." I beg to differ. After Jesus was crucified and rose from the dead, after he empowered His disciples and the true believers with the Holy Ghost on the day of pentecost, He chose a man named Saul to be His prophet. Jesus struck Saul down and made him a "prisoner of Christ", filled him with the Holy Ghost and sent him out to set His church in order. The result is the Pauline Epistles in the New Testament. Paul was a prophet of God, after Jesus had ascended into Heaven to do His mediatorial work at the right hand of God. In the book of Hebrews, chapter 13, verse 8, we read " Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today, and for ever." God chose men to be His apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers(Eph 4:11) The Strongs Bible Dictonary defines the word " prophet" in this verse as " a foreteller". The Word of God tells us that He will chose men to be His prophets, just as He did in the past, to show signs and wonders, call mankind to repentance, set the church in order, and to bring the Word of the Lord to the people. A prophet NEVER changes, adds to or takes away from the Word of God. This is forbidden in the Bible( and in my eyes, a test of a true prophet) A prophet of God will always display the character of a man of God. You may ask, "What is that character?". You only need to read your Bible and see how the prophets through the ages, from Genesis to Revelation acted and spoke to see.

Have you ever wondered," How many people in the days of Jesus never even heard what He said?" Do you think that the believers then would have wanted to know? Mighty men of God like Peter, John, and Matthew used thier voices and later writings to spread the Gospel. Paul preached and wrote letters to churches, telling them the things Jesus revealed to him, things that needed to be said, whether they hurt or not, he told them the truth. These people took these writings and sayings and over time, they became the New Testament. Later men like Polycarp, Ireaneus, St. Martin, Martin Luther and many others wrote and preached as the Holy Ghost so moved them to. We still read these books today, and thier teachings are still part of the doctrines in most of the churches today. My question to you is, " If God, in the past , sent true prophets to call His church out of the muck and mire of the world, why would He stop in this age? Shouldn't we be listening for the voice of God in this day and hour we live?" If there was an age that needed a prophet, it is this one.

God sent us a prophet. He was a human, just like us. He was not Jesus Christ. He was not sent to be worshiped. He was sent to be heard and listened to as the voice of God in this last church age. Malichi 4:5-6, Luke 17: 30, Rev 10:1-7 are but a few scriptures that tell us God would send us a prophet.
