Sky smiled his cynical smile, and took a fighting stance. "Well, let's make this fun. I'll let you make the first move. Isn't that nice of me?"
"Oh yeah," Ash muttered sarcastically. "Real nice."
Sky watched as Nanaki moved between him and the group of children. His fangs were bared, and the fur on his back was standing up on end. As he stood in front of Sky, the materia in the Limited Moon began glowing.
"Haste!" Nanaki called out.
With the materia casting it's spell on him, he ran towards Sky and jumped at him. The teeth of his comb raked along Sky's face. He jumped again, and again, and again. Four times he repeated his attack, then drew back, growling. He raised his head to Sky, and watched as his foe began advancing on him.
Sky reached behind him and drew out a short sword that had been strapped to his back. He raised the weapon, and a glow of power seemed to radiate from the weapon. "Face my Gillotine!" he cried.
Nanaki shrank back as Sky easily lifted into the air, heald the sword in front of him, and brought it down on Nanaki's head, shattering the Limited Moon.
Sky stepped back, and Nanaki began slumping to the ground. But he wasn't about to give up yet. Gathering his strength, he leaped upon Sky again. His claws dug into the man's chest, and he bit his neck.
Nanaki closed his eyes as Sky raised his hands, and began gathering energy for another attack. And fell off Sky as the man laid his hands on Nanaki's face, and seemed to draw life out of the beast.
After a few moments, Sky dropped Nanaki to the ground. Nanaki's chest was heaving as if he didn't have enough life left in him to breath easily. However, Sky looked refreshed, and full of energy.
Everyone stared in disblief at what had just happened. Nanaki had survived the battle with Sephiroth, and for him to be defeated by this man . . . It was a frightening thought.
"What did you do to him?" Aeris cried out. She tried to run to their fallen friend, but Ash and Alan heald her back.
Sky smiled, and looked at Star, then back to the group. "I think that you've had enough fun for today," Star said.
"Very well," Sky said reluctantly, and backed off to allow Star her turn. And the woman advanced on the group with an evil smile on her face.
Star stopped about 12 feet from the group, and paused to speek. "You know what?" she asked. "I think that you may have been allowed to live too long.
"My brother, over there, enjoys tormenting people a bit more then I do. Actually, I would really enjoy making you suffer, what with you causing my boss so much trouble. But we have a job to do, so I shouldn't delay it much longer. It really is too bad, if you ask me. I would have liked drawing this out a bit."
Star smiled her evil smile, and gathered her energy and power. Aeris felt a surge of power emininte from within Star, and the woman even began to lift off the ground.
The last thing she heard, before blacking out, was Star speek the word 'Supernova'. And the last thing she felt was a large blast of power hit her.
