(Liz wanders inside the courtyard at Kelly's and then walks inside. She goes to the counter and sits down)
Ruby: "Can I help you?"
Liz: "Yeah, I値l have a draft. (Ruby gives her a look) A beer? Oh, well, whatever's on tap or in a bottle's fine with me. (Ruby's not buying the act) Oh, that's right. You're probably wanting to see my ID, and I understand. But, you see, I left my license in my jacket, and my jacket's at home. I could bring it to you tomorrow if it means that much to you."
Ruby: (Putting down a can of root beer in front of her) "Drink up, hot shot." (Liz turns the can around and rolls her eyes)
(Liz comes back out into the courtyard and lights a cigarette)
Lucky: (From the shadows) "Better be careful. You could stunt your growth."
Liz: (Turning) "Is there a reason you care?"
Lucky: (Coming into the light next to her) "Uh-uh."
Liz: (Checking him out) "Oh. Well, that's too bad. What's your name?"
Lucky: "Lucky."
Liz: (Smiling) "We'll see."
Lucky: "You think you're pretty funny, don't you?"
Liz: "Oh, I知 much more than funny. I didn稚 hurt your feelings, did I?"
Lucky: "I think I can take it."
Liz: (Looking him up and down) "Yeah, but can you dish it out?"
Lucky: (Laughing) "You know, I think those cigarettes are doing something to your head."
Liz: "Oh, God, not the cigarettes again. What are you, one of those secondary smoke freaks?"
Lucky: "You know what? You're right. I mean, if you want to fry your lungs, I just--I hope you have a good time." (Walking around her)
Liz: "Well, you, certainly know what to say to a girl."
Lucky: "Only ones with ash tray breath."
Liz: (She waves the smoke out of the way) "Oh. Like you could really smell it from all the way over there. (She drops the cigarette) Um--God, you know, I知 really thirsty. Do you know a place where we can go get a beer?"
Lucky: "Yeah."
Liz: "Ok."
Lucky: "You gotta be kidding me."
Liz: "Wait. Don't tell me you have something against beer, too."
Lucky: (Amused) "No, I don't care. It's just that, uh--I can't imagine someone like you being arrested."
Liz: "Ok, well, then how about just a soda? I mean, anyplace but this dump."
Lucky: "What's wrong with Kelly痴?"
Liz: "How about the crone behind the counter?"
Lucky: "Ruby."
Liz: "Like I need to know her name."
Lucky: "What, uh, what did she do to you?"
Liz: "She didn't serve me."
Lucky: (Making a face) "The nerve. Who cares that she could lose her liquor license if she served someone underage."
Liz: "Well, I don't see any cops here. Anyways, who cares about her? She's just a pathetic old hag who has nothing to do but push people around."
Lucky: "You think so?"
Liz: "Oh, I know so. Why are we talking about that old buzzard, anyways?"
Lucky: "She's my aunt."
(Liz looks uncomfortable)
Liz: "I am really sorry. I didn't know that the old--I mean, that woman was related to you."
Lucky: "I know you didn't. Just don't do it again."
Liz: "Ok. From now on, she's, like, my favorite person."
Lucky: "You don't have to over do it."
Liz: "Really, though, I was totally out of line."
Lucky: "Look, it's no big deal. So you owe me one."
Liz: (Getting flirty again) "Well then, any ideas on how I can pay you back?"
Lucky: (Casually) "Uh, new computer, yeah."
Liz: (Laughing) "How about some new jewelry? (Reaching for his bracelet) Anybody ever tell you beads aren't making it anymore?"
Lucky: (Looking down at his bracelet then back at her) "My little sister made that for me."
Liz: (Uncomfortable again) "Oh. Well, let's see, is the anyone else in your family I haven't insulted?"
Lucky: "A few. But I have confidence in you."
Liz: "So--how old's your little sister?"
Lucky: "She turned 3 last week. She's over in Europe, quite a ways away. You have any brothers or sisters?"
Liz: (Rolling her eyes) "None worth mentioning."
Lucky: "I have one of those, too."
Liz: "I bet he's a brother."
Lucky: "Now, how would you know that?"
Liz: (Smiling at him) "Because if it was a sister, she'd have to be crazy about you."
Liz: "Are you always this funny?"
Lucky: "That wasn't funny."
Liz: "Well, if you ever do decide to go on stage, I promise I値l be in the front row every single night."
Lucky: "I値l put you on my mailing list."
Liz: "Well, I have to go."
Lucky: "Ok. You live around here?"
Liz: "You can't come over, if that's what you're thinking."
Lucky: "I was wondering how you got here."
Liz: "I drove."
Lucky: "Oh. You have a car."
Liz: "Yeah, Doesn't everybody?"
Lucky: "So, you have a license."
Liz: "Well, I don't know about you, but I find little details like that really boring."
Lucky: "What, did you steal the family wheels?"
Liz: "Oh, sorry, that's my secret. You don't actually hang out here, do you?"
Lucky: "Quite a bit."
Liz: "Really. Well, work on that for next time, will you? Bye." (She starts to leave)
Lucky: "Wait. What's your name?"
Liz: "My name? Uma Thurman."
Lucky: "Uma. Well, it was nice to meet you."
Liz: "Same here. I guess this was my 'lucky' night." (He goes into Kelly's to the counter and Liz stands in the doorway looking in, smiling)
(She gets home and is busted by Audrey for having taken the car. She informs Audrey that she has decided to stay in Port Charles for a while. She and Sarah bicker about her behavior and then when she is alone, Liz grabs a pen and some paper, draws a heart, and puts Lizzie + Lucky in the middle, smiling the whole time)
