Obi-Wan Kenobi has followed a responsible path on his journey toward Jedi knighthood as the Padawan apprentice to Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn. Strongly influenced by other leading Jedi as well as by Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan is more brooding and cautious than his teacher.
He is careful to weigh the consequences of his actions and is reluctant to entangle himself unnecessarily in transgressions against the will of the Jedi High Council. A serious, quiet man posessed by a dry sense of humor, Obi-Wan strives to be worthy of his order and feels honored to be Qui-Gon's student, although he worries about his Master's tendency to take risks in defiance of the Council.
Obi-Wan remains loyal to Qui-Gon even when this puts him at odds with the Jedi High Council. Nevertheless, Obi-Wan Kenobi follows Qui-Gon Jinn's example and develops an independent spirit of his own.
After his master Qui-Gon is dealt a lethal blow by the Sith Lord, Darth Maul, Obi-Wan rushes in to finish the duel, striking a deadly blow to the dark warrior and destroying the present Sith apprentice. Holding his master as he dies, he accepts the promise to his master to train Anakin as a Jedi..."he is the chosen one...he will bring balance...train him..."
During the period of the Clone Wars, the powers of the SIth once again reign havoc and disruption to the already crumbling Republic. With Palpatine postioned as Supreme Chancellor, the Sith quickly carried out its dark treachery to impulse separartion to the united Republic, and therefore bringing internal conflict, as well as Anakin Skywalker being slowly seduced to the Dark Side of the Force.
Although Obi-Wan Kenobi is at bay battling the dark powers at work, he also feels his apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, beginning to rebel against Jedi authority, and begin a path full of anger, resentment, and fear as he continues on to journey on to the outcome of his destiny as the "Chosen One." All the while, Kenobi realizes the danger that Anakain is in, and the also the danger the Republic and the Jedi are facing in a conflict that may most likely take its hold on the galaxy.
