The Sith Order, a 2000 year old order birthed by a renegade Jedi to use the dark side of the Force to control and dominate the galaxy, has brought forth much adversity to the Jedi Knights and the rest of the galaxy. The present Sith Master, Darth Sidious, is the diabolical brilliant mind behind the training of one of the most dangerous Sith apprentices in history: the deadly Darth Maul.
Darth Maul is one of the most highly trained Sith in the history of the Order. Focusing on physical and tactical abilities, Maul serves his master obediently, knowing that his own time for strategic wisdom and eventual domination will come.
His face is tatooed with symbols giving evidence of his complete dedication to the dark side of the Force. Darth Maul is identified as one of the Iridonian Zabrak, a race who is known for their mental discipline, which allows them to tolerate great physical suffering. This ability is born of surviving their harsh homeworld.
Darth Maul travels in a Sith Infiltrator-a spaceship which is a technological terror equipped with a cloaking device along with other weapons and helpful supplies to track down the Jedi and Queen Amidala of the Naboo.
