Crouching behind a bush,
I saw something strange
A very long snout
Did this Creature have a name?

Small, beady eyes,
And a shell like a pill bug
It was mostly grey;
It dragged along with a "glug"

I jumped in front of it, blocking its path
Looking closer, I smelled it,
could it know how to take a bath?
It hissed, then curled up in a ball
I pictured myself bouncing it 'gainst the wall.

I brought it to a vet named Mr. Magillo
saying "what is this creature?"
He replied, "An armadillo!"
