Prayer Ministry

Our ministry is serious about prayer since studies show that the average professing Christian spends less than 2 minutes a day in prayer.

We Start by praying. The proper place to begin anything in church is in prayer and this ministry is no exception. Pray often, pray regularly, and pray with others who understand the need for prayer.

This ministry is endorsed by our Pastor along with other ministries.

Purpose

To love God, to love others, to serve God, to serve others through praying without ceasing, prevailing, persistent, effective, intercessory, concentrated prayers about everything an anything how small or great it may be.

What is Prayer?

The communication system between God and man, a key that unlocks God’s treasury, it is our expression of devotion to our heavenly father, helps us determine the will of God and then go forth with his will, it is more than asking what we want but conforming to what he wants

“If any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will he heareth” John 9:31 “If we ask anything according to His will, he heareth us.” John 5:14

Who can Pray?

Anyone can pray, but only those who walk in faith and obedience to Christ can expect to see the benefits of prayer

If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer, (Matthew 21:22 NIV)

That is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us whatever we ask we know that we have what we asked of him. (John 5:14-15 NIV)

Why are we to pray?

God’s word commands us to pray. Prayer releases God’s great power to change the course of nature, people, and nations,

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. (Philippians 4:6 NIV) Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. (Luke 18:1 NIV)

When Should we pray?

Be Joyful always, pray continually: give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus (Thess 5:16-18 NIV)

What Should We Include in our Prayers?

Reveal your heart to God! Give Him your thanks, confess to him your sins, give him your worship and praise, ask for his guidance and grace. Pray for your salvation, pray for others in need, pray for your family and friends, pray for your nation, but whatever you do… PRAY… PRAY… PRAY… PRAY… PRAY… PRAY continuously.
