THE LONE RIDER______________ THE STORY OF THE LONE RIDER LIZARD. What happened was this little fellow decided to hitch a ride in our car without our knowledge, until our younger child spotted him. He got on in Southern Utah (wild)and we live in the middle of Utah. I just wanted to keep him alive long enough to find someone going back in that direction. Luckily, I found someone that took the little lizard and brought it back to its natural home. Hopefully the Lone Rider is happy and living out his days where he belongs. CONGRATULATIONS FOR CARING ABOUT HIM!!!!! LITTLE BOY BLUE------------------ As we wandered through the pet store we noticed this very small and ill iguana. He was unable to walk and was very close to death. We brought him home and spoon feed him, syringe fed him and he grew strong. It took over 4 months for him to regain his strength but he did. He is 3 years old and is only about a foot long from tail to head. The poor thing had been so neglected. Now he has a huge cage and runs with the family around the house, he eats like a pig and loves to swim in the tub. Occasionally he will lay in my arms and curl up and sleep like a baby. LITTLE BOY BLUE WAS LUCKY THAT SOMEONE CARED ENOUGH TO HELP HIM AND NOW HE IS THRIVING. HURRAY!!!!!!!!!! CORAL SNAKE RELEASE-------------- We recieved a call from someone who were building a new house. As they were sitting on their the step the coral snake slithered right underneath them. He was none aggressive towards them. They placed him in a sealed container and asked what to do. We gave them the option of them letting it go or us coming out there and moving it for them. We took the time and explained they had built their house in his territory and he had no place to go. We asked they not kill him but move him away. They were concerned about the wildlife and the right of all of gods creatures so they took the coral snake for a ride to a new home. THESE PEOPLE GET APPLAUSE FOR HANDLING THE SITUATION AND NOT HURTING THE SNAKE!!!!!!!! They were also informed they may find other snakes and to do the same they agreed.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- THE FRYING PAN SKINK----We recieved a letter concerning a strange lizard basking in a womans backyard. She sent us a picture and sure enough it was a skink. The skink had lost his tail somewhere before entering the sanctuary of her yard. The kind woman wanted to know a little more about this strange visitor. After viewing the picture we gave her the info requested and he is now a regular visitor to her backyard. The pan used to be a bird feeder but now it is the skinks personal backing spot. We applaud this woman for caring enough to find out and then just enjoy its occasional visit.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ THANKS TO ALL THE PEOPLE WHO WRITE US ABOUT THEIR STORIES. PLEASE KEEP THEM COMING. THE WORLD HAS A CHANCE AFTER ALL. WE ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FUTURE LETS DO IT RIGHT.
