Breeding Fees

Cappuccino Royale, (year 2000) stands for the Service Fee of $950.00. We do offer Multiple Mare Discounts. Each mare booked for the same season, by the same owner, receives a $200.00 discount. The Multiple Mare Discount is $750.00 after the first mare booked.

Mare Owners divide themselves into two categories:

1. "On Farm Breedings" – In addition to the Stallion Service Fee, our Mare Care is $8.00 per day (without foal) or $10.00 (with foal). While all service is provided via artificial insemination, there may be no artificial insemination fees charged. There are no Permit Fees required by any association for "On Farm Breedings."

2. "Transported Semen Breedings" – In addition to the Stallion Service Fee, there is a Collection Fee each time the stallion is collected for shipping. The Collection Fee is $150.00. The Mare Owner is also responsible for all round trip shipping charges (Fed Ex, UPS, or airline direct counter-to-counter). If airline transportation is required, there is also a $50.00 Courier Fee (in order to transport the Equitainer from Kharisma Farm to Portland International Airport) in addition to the airline transportation fee. A refundable Equitainer deposit of $250.00 is required for Mare Owners.

Mare owners who own Arabian or National Show Horse mares will also need to obtain Transported Semen Permits from the International Arabian Horse Association (IAHA) and the National Show Horse Registry (NSHR). As these associations do not blood type the foal, they require Transported Semen Permits from the Mare Owner in addition to the Stallion Owner.

If the foal as a result of the breeding to one of our stallions is eligible for registration in IAHA or NSHR, the Mare Owner will need to obtain the application for permit from the registry direct or Kharisma Farm can provide the application. The cost for IAHA is $100.00 and the NSHR is $75.00 (if the Mare Owner is a member of the NSHR) or $125.00 (if the Mare Owner is not a member of the NSHR).
