Born and raised Chicago native J-Swift has been involved in the whole hiphop music scene for as long as he can remember. With the influences of earlier artists such as Afrika Bambata, Run DMC, Public Enemy, and LL Cool J, just to name a few, J-Swift was inspired to seriously pursue his own career in the business. In the beginning, he received local recognition in school and on the streets while battling other peers in rap battles,from creating songs by "pause mixing" using two tape recorders, he began laying tracks and producing in the studio, recording songs that were recognized on the underground and well known Chicago based radio stations such as WHPK, and WGCI. After a long period of performing at local nightclubs, and open mic sessions, J-Swift decided to start his own record label entitled UNDERWORLD CONNECTION. From this label he wrote, produced, and arranged his first solo promotional release Life's Definition. With the promotion of radio, street and club appearances, J-Swift began to not only to be recognized in the city of Chicago, but in other areas around the world via websites. What's next for 'J' is focus on putting the record label over the top and expanding into many other business ventures. Anything from producing, performing, writing, filming, etc He is prepared for it all!!!
