FEEDING GUIDE: The food is very rich and highly digestible in the dog's system - care must be taken not to over-feed. The same advice is given with the regular Flint River Ranch Puppy and Adult Dog food. Because the food is concentrated, a standard 8 ounce cup holds 4.2 ounces of food. This compares to an average of 3.3 ounces in most extruded foods.
NUTRITIONAL REQUIREMENTS WILL VARY ACCORDING TO BREED, AGE, ACTIVITY AND LIFESTYLE - FEED AT LEAST 20 % LESS OF THIS HIGH DENSITY KIBBLE THAN OTHER FOODS. FOOD IS BEST INTRODUCED BY MIXING WITH YOUR DOGS REGULAR FOOD FOR ONE WEEK. HAVE PLENTY OF FRESH WATER AVAILABLE.
PRICE COMPARISON
When you compare the 40 pound regular Flint River Ranch with the 40 pound Lamb, Millet and Rice, the price difference is about 9 cents a pound. A standard 8 ounce cup will hold 4.3 ounces of food. Feeding 2.5 to 3 cups a day is about 6 to 7 cents a day. It is far less expensive than prescription diet foods.
