Hello and welcome to my support page for The Caregivers Army. This is not the offical page, to view it go to the link provided in the last line. The Caregivers army is a program started in September of 1999 to get funding from the American government to help find a cure for alzheimers. I first came across the Caregivers Army in a chat program called PalTalk. The head of the organization gave a speech requesting for those chatting to go to that link and sign the online petition. Her goal is to get one million signatures; she currently has over sixty-four thousand (these were aquired only this year). I made this simple page to further her message and request that you do as I did and sign the petition. It is free of cost and very easy to do. It doesn't matter how old you are or where you live, this petition represents concerned citizens all over the world.

The reason this is so important to me is that one month before I was born, my Grandfather on my mother's side died of alzheimers. I never had the chance to meet him; even if I did, would he remember me? Most likely not. Alzheimers is a terrible desiese and by far not the only one out there. My father died from cancer in February of 1997 and I know the pain of being a caregiver...although then I was only nine years old. The Caregivers Army shows support for those who have had to care for the ill members of their family.

Please support The Caregivers Army by going to their website and signing the petition. Again, it is free of charge and it doesn't matter how old you are or what country you live in. If you care, you can sign. Also, at the site you can print out a petition with spaces for ten other signatures. Take this around to your local grocery store or library; get your friends to sign. Every month in PalTalk there is an internet radio broadcast of singers to help spread the word about The Caregivers Army; you can help spread the word as well. Thank you for your time and caring and God bless you. -KiraLynn Bicknell
