Ryan and Branalie went to Ryan's house after leaving the club, and watched "Empire Records." Ryan dropped Branalie off at Jon's house at about 12:30 a.m."Branalie, where were you?" asked Jon as she stepped into the kitchen.
"Oh God Jon, you scared me." Branalie put her purse on the table.
"Where were you?"
"I was at Ryan's house, Jon. Why should it matter to you anyway? You know that what happened happened. It's over."
"Branalie, you know I'm still in love with you," said Jon while grabbing her wrists.
"Ow Jon, you're hurting me!" Branalie struggled to pull free from Jon's grasp. "You're hurting me! Let me go!!"
"Fine." Jon spoke the word with disgust as he dropped her wrists and started to walk out of the room. "Branalie, believe me, you've changed so much. There's no way you are the girl I fell in love with."
"Believe what you want Jon. But believe this-it's over. It's been over for six months. I never expected to see you here, let alone stay in your house, with your family. I tried to put the past behind me. I have tried to be the good girl and pretend this never happened, but I can't do that any longer. I don't know if we can ever be friends, maybe when you accept the fact that there is nothing between us, maybe then we can have another shot at friendship. And I am not going to speak to you, let alone look at you, save for the all-important public relations, because I wouldn't want your image to get hurt, now would I?"
Branalie turned and stormed up the stairs, not once looking back to see the hatred in Jon's eyes following her, like an unseen ghost.
"Bitch," muttered Jon, under his breath "She's too good for him anyway. She'll betray him."
