FORKLIFT OPERATOR SAFETY MANUAL
This manual follows all current Ministry of Labour guidelines, the Occupational Health and
Safety Act, and meets and exceeds C.S.A. regulation B335-94 (Regulations for operating
powered industrial forklift trucks) as well as OSHA standards. For an outline of the Forklift

INSTRUCTOR'S MANUAL
This is the same manual as the operator's manual, but with useful training tips included.
PRE-SHIFT INSPECTION FORMS
We will include pre-shift inspection forms (checklists) for the type of lift trucks that you have at
your facility. These checklists may be photocopied for use at your facility. In addition, we will
provide in depth training on proper inspection techniques for your trainers.
WRITTEN EXAMINATION (MASTER COPY AND ANSWER SHEET)
All participants in the Forklift Operator Safety Program are required to complete a written test
(or verbal if their understanding of English is limited). This written exam will provide the
necessary proof that all forklift operators know and understand the information that has been
presented to them. Please note that the passing grade on the written test is 80%.
PRACTICAL DRIVERS OBSERVATION AND TEST
A 25 point job safety evaluation and test is included with this program that will ensure that all
operators meet with the competency standards as set forth by C.S.A., Ministry of Labour and OSHA.
KEY POINTS
Several pages of key points for observation will be included in this package. Supervisors have
found these useful for coaching the forklift operators on safe practices, especially as time
passes after their initial training.
PERMITS
At your option, we will provide laminated Forklift Operator permits with your company logo
scanned onto the permit itself. The cost of these permits is $6.50 each plus G.S.T.

All of the presentation material and course manuals are protected by copyright laws. This site
license will allow your company to use and copy this material for use at your facility only.
Additional site licenses are available upon request. Please note that any use or duplication
in part or in full of any of this material for use outside of your facility is strictly prohibited.
