H.M.I.S. TRAINING Training Objective: To familiarize all employees with the theory and history of H.M.I.S., Hazardous Chemical Classifications, M.S.D.S. labels, employee responsibilities under H.M.I.S.,safe handling and storage of chemicals, emergency procedures, how chemicals enter the body, avoiding health hazards, fire and explosions, and chemical reactions. Duration: We will conduct 3 to 5 hours of in depth training as required. Method of Instruction: Lecture, video, overhead, and discussion Evaluation: A written examination is required by each employee at the end of the training program. Required passing grade is 75%. Any material that you wish to emphasize as it pertains to your operations can be included in the course content and participation manuals. For example, you may wish to include your company Safety Policy, and/or Management Commitment. Training will be conducted at your facility using your conference room unless other arrangements have been made. Please advise us as to the availability of your T.V., V.C.R., and overhead projector or if we should bring our own. At Safety 1st, we pride ourselves on our flexibility.
