Our Lady of Immaculate Humor was founded in 1969 by Sister Candi Buss. In that year, she had attended a music sympodium in upper New York state. There, while congregating with other music lovers and people of the free world, she had a vision. Well she had several, but she felt the whirling rainbow of trees was due more to the heat,,yeah, that's it, the heat,,,then from actual divine inspiration. She had seen a world, healed by humor, spanked with the rod of sarcasm and made whole by the sanctity of comical introspection. She had, as they say, seen the light.

With this new outlook on life, Sister Candi headed for small farming community outside Peyote, Montana. There, through the generousity of the local people and a small inheritance from her aunt (who had developed the durable tampon string), she managed to make her vision a living reality.

The convent is a grand house that sits upon many acres of rolling hills. God is good, oh yeah baby! It's home to several dedicated Sisters, three dogs, five cats, 6 horses, 1 cabana boy and a chimp named Gerald. All who dwell here have devoted their lives to the truth that humor saves. They have helped many a lost soul find the light that shines in all of us, with the sad exception of right-wing republicans, not much can help these sad sinners. To this day noone, who comes truly seeking the answer, is turned away (unless they really creep people out). May you get what you are looking for in these pages.
