Kaine is my awesome horse! We brought him straight off the race-track as a 5 year old in 1999. He was a pacer but was broken to saddle so they could sell him as 'broken in'. He had only ever been ridden 3 - 4 times and could hardley trot in a circle without tripping over his own feet! Since then (now 3 years later) he has made huge progress. He's a great jumper- I've jumped him 1.10m on the lunge line and 1.05m with me riding him, although we only really jump around 70- 80cm at home and even lower at competitions! mainly because we are both new to the competition world. He isn't a very bold jumper though - but he's getting better with experince. I take him for dressage lessons and he is coming on very nicely, also we now go to pony club which is really good expreince for him. His personality is really sweet & loves attention. He enjoys chasing around Goldie (our pony) when he has lots of energy to burn! He had only raced for one season and never won a race which is why he was probably retired at such an early age, but because of this I think that is why he is such a good riding horse.
