In the 'rules' section on Mew.. way back when, the number one rules was:

"I want for you to do whatever it is that you want to do with your site. Your site should express you being you, it’s yours, so be yourself. I would love to see a site that you’ve worked hard to create and that you’ve had fun doing so."

People continually misunderstood the clique meaning and wrote me letters like "I support your clique, I wish I could join but I'm hosted." - which was amusing but also kind - of sad. No matter how I phrased my "about" page or my "rules" people always asumed that a "free server clique" meant an "I hate domains and hosted sites clique." Which was untrue. As my clique grew and went on, I tried to dumb down the rules as much as possible, sticking to "link me," "have a site," "read the about page" but people still assumed this translated into "Free Servers Only!"

I dispise sites that tell me they won't accept sites due to 'sticky caps' or particualr fonts that they dislike.. and I tried to be careful my site didn't say these things.
