DER FUHRER ADOLF HITLER

ADOLF HITLER: FUHRER OF THE THIRD REICH

Hitler was a genius, but an evil genius. He took a bankrupt, and desperate Germany, and turned it into the most powerful military nation in the world (at that time). He was a brilliant public speaker, and was said to have a thoroughly captivating personality. It was said that he had a gaze which was mesmerizing. Hitler was a fanatical racist, and ideologist . His hatred for communism and the Jews led to millions of deaths. He was without a doubt, a cruel and evil man. However, one cannot help but be fascinated by this incredible man. He led a meteoric life, rising to command the most efficient military machine the world had ever seen. As the war dragged on, and Germany lost more and more men, he would eventually drift into insanity. Towards the end he was plagued by the onset of Parkinson's disease, and was so intoxicated by cocktails of drugs; that he was not capable of leading what was left of the Wehrmacht. He would die by his own hand, with his Reich collapsing around his ears. It was a fitting end....... Creator OKW

This unique photo shows a gentler more human side of Hitler. A side that many don't wish to acknowledge. It has been proven that Hitler did have a love for children (German of course). It is not surprising that this picture fetches some interesting responses from people who see it.

This incredible photo shows the euphoria which swept through Berlin after Hitler returned from his conquest of the west. These thousands of Germans are cheering their beloved Fuhrer as he stands on a balcony, and looks down upon them. Never again would Berlin see such happiness.....

Hitler and Mussolini leaving a conference together. Personally I think Mussolini was a pompous moron who was nothing but a burden to Germany. Hitler would have done better by overthrowing him, and his government, and conquering all of Italy. Instead Italy would become the most burdensome of all the axis partners.

Hitler enjoying a quiet moment at the Berghoff. Hitler once said that the majestic views at his mountain retreat gave him a much needed perspective on his duties.

Hitler's greatest talent was that of public speaking. His ability to rouse crowd's spirits was incredible. He had a charisma that could envelop a room. It was his power as an orator that would propel him towards his political successes.

Hitler was renowned for taking over briefings from officers who showed a lack of enthusiasm or mastery of their subjects. Here he can be seen in a typical pose as he meticulously goes over strategy (despite his fanatical work Hitler was an awful tactician, and his constant interference would often lead to utter disaster)

An Ever Changing Fuhrer- Hitler's appearance changed gradually as time went on.  The photo at left shows a more young, energetic and public Hitler of the 1930's.  The photo at right shows an aged, tired withdrawn Hitler in the mid 1940s (close to wars end).

Hitler and Goering at a Military Inspection- In the early days of the Nazi party Goering had been one of Hitler's closest allies, and in the early days of the war Goering was 2nd in command behind the Fuhrer.  However after the Luftwaffe's defeat in the Battle of Britain, relations between the two became stormy and distanced.

This is a very unique and rare colour photo showing Hitler and Heinrich Himmler walking together in the snow at the Berghoff.
