It is unimaginable, devastating, unspeakable carnage, said Scott O'Grady, a firefighter. To say it looks like a war zone and to tell you about bodies lying in the street and blood and steel beams blocking roads would not begin to describe what it's like. It's horrible.

No Simple words can ease our grief this day.....
As we listened in numb disbelief
We as a Nation, as a family sat and watched.......
Our friends...Our Loved ones.....And simple nameless faces
Life being snuffed out as a candle in the wind of Terrorism....
Our United Family This day,those near and far away
Will in The coming Days and After shall forever remember
Our countrymen and women....
Who lost their lives as the forced sacrificial Lambs in the war of Terrorism.......
As for the Hero’s.....
The Firefighters and Policemen.....
Who responded to the call........
No, we shall never forget you.......not one nor all
For in many inexplicable ways....
You who died are a part of us forever....

Of the Army's loss of 74 people, 21 were soldiers, 47 were Army civilians and six were Army contractors.
The Navy lost 42 people - 33 sailors and nine civilians. A partial list of names of the Navy people missing in the rubble, released by the Pentagon, showed that most were in their 30s or 20s.
The little flag was replaced late in the day by a huge one. A dozen firefighters held the banner aloft on the roof, in a display timed to coincide with a visit from Bush. Then they draped it near the stricken section, a bold display of red, white and blue hanging two-thirds of the way down the wall.

~~~A Prayer For A Nation in Convulsion of The Aftermath of Sept. 11,2001~~~
Our Father Who art in heaven.....
Guide us in this Time of Sorrow
Give us heart to see a better tomorrow Father....
Hear the cry of a nation...
Not for some symbol of strength or for a building...
But Father for the men ,women,and children.....
Lost in the planes.....
In the buildings that fell...
Father please send your angels to comfort and hold the wee babes
That cry out this Night....For there Fathers and Mothers, lost there....
May each person heed the Nations Call.....
Father...above all give us the heart and wisdom and strength........
To rise above this tragedy.......
To rise above it all.........
~~~Amen~~~
