Val Day
I'm so glad that everybody had a good time at Season of the Wolf.
Well we also had a good time at Val's Day. First we have to
recognize those of our school who made us all proud. It was a two
man melee tourney which had about 20 or so teams. Boleslaw and
Cinnie made up one team. They did very well considering the talent
in the tourney. Boleslaw succeeded in authorizing for Dagger. I
teamed up with a fairly new fencer, Theo from Pentamere and we
finished in the middle. But it was Tristan Silvertoes (a fellow
inlander in case some of you don't know) and Blaise (both are from
Household Ironwolf) who were victorious. They finished the torturous
melee of 3 1/2 hours well ahead of their nearest competitor. Alto
Sixe!!!!
Berok was also present and chose to fight in the heavy tourney, He
also authorized in something, thrusting weapon I believe. I have to
mention that Ragnar did very well in the heavy tourney. They had 55
fighters and did a round robin of 4 pools of about 12 - 14 in each.
the top 3 of each pool advanced to the next and so on. Ragnar made
it to the final 4! He had to go at it against 3 white belts. Even
though he didn't win he did very well. Houbba

Season of the Wolf
Season of the Wolf this year was wonderful. The
fencing was excellent, and included a bear pit tourney
as well as a "stand and deliver" tourney. Our own
Katrina Morande (Boo) and Lydia de Berce (Fish) tied
for first in the newcomer portion, the tie breaker
going to Katrina, and Count Killdare took first
overall in both the rapier as well as heavy fighting.
Our school was well represented by it's members,
honour and chivalry being the overwhelming theme of
the rapier tourney. Alto Sixe!
