Welcome to the page that will hopefully inspire others as my husband and I work towards adopting a special child who needs a mother and a father who will be there for them the remainder of their lives.
Stan works as a Construction Engineer for a reputable Oregon Company, and even I am amazed at the artwork he puts into the simplest projects. Nothing is ever done part way, he always adds an artistic touch to each project to give it uniqueness and value.
When Stan is not at work he enjoys fishing, camping, hiking, playing computer games, and spending time with our nieces and nephews. Although he stands 6 foot 4 inches tall and was once a body builder so has broad shoulders, he is all teddy bear. He cares for others and will help anyone in need that he can.
Stan enjoys the outdoors, snow skiing, and year round sports. When kids are around Stan is usually sitting in his oversized recliner chatting with them, reading to them, or listening to their stories. He will wrestle with them and laugh, watch movies and go for walks in the woods outside the house, and give them the attention and love every child needs. At the same time, he knows when to draw the line, and can enforce the rules as needed and modify the consequences according to the child's age. Having seen him with my nephews and nieces from the day they were born until they graduated High School, I watched Stan as he adjusted his actions and guided the kids into adulthood in a healthy manner by establishing mature rules yet still showing he loves them without question.
Stan is a very gentle person who longs to be a father and to help guide a young child into adulthood with strong morals, confidence, and an abundance of love.
We have adopted one little girl and she is the love of our lives. Bryten has osteogenesis Imperfecta (Brittle bone) but otherwise is as normal as they come! She has stolen our hearts..but is in need of a brother or sister, so we hope to find one for her soon!
