Our mission was a success at Super Soap Weekend 1998! Here are the pics of Jonathan and Rebecca performing the L&L Brigade Salute!
The L&L salute should be committed to memory and practiced daily,
perfection being the goal. With both hands, form two L’s with your index
fingers and your thumbs (see image above) at the center of your forehead.
Touch your thumbs together to form a “U,” like a horseshoe, the universal
symbol for “Luck.”
This special salute should be used to greet every Brigade member, but
must never be shown to the average, non L&L-obsessed citizen. In their
ignorance, they may be tempted to use the sacred salute in an unworthy,
dishonorable manner, or may mistake it for that little football-goal game
and throw paper-wads at your forehead, which could be dangerous.
To properly sign your salute with a keyboard, first hold the shift key
down. Keeping the shift key down, press the line key ( | ) which is the
same key that the \ symbol is on. Next, press the dash key ( _ ) next to
the zero, remembering to keep the shift key down. Press the space bar and
do the reverse, dash key ( _ ) and then line key ( | ). The results will
be |_ _|, a proper L&L salute. This should be practiced for speed and
used whenever greeting an officer or signing off. If you are in the presence
of non L&L Brigaders, such as visiting another board or chat room,
you may want to precede your salute with LLB.
