Kimberly Ann Hart was the pink power ranger in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. One of the members of the original team. She's also probably one of the most popular rangers ever (with the guys and the girls! ^_^). In her last episode, A Different Shade of Pink: part 3, she passed her power coin onto Katherine Hillard when she made the decision to compete in the Pan Global Games in Florida.
Kim was an awesome gymnast which is what led her to giving up her power coin in the end. She was a popular student at Angel Grove High and was kind of shallow in the beginning but after meeting Zordon and becoming a ranger, she became the Kimberly we know and love today.
Too bad for her, Skull (played by Jason Narvey, who was a bit of a comedian on the fantasy show) constantly pestered her with his lame attempts at scoring a date. Fortunately for us, Kim had some taste and choose Tommy's company. After leaving, she met someone in Florida and wrote back dumping Tommy just like that. (I would have prefered telling him in person, but then I'm not one to complain. I've always prefered the Kat/Tommy relationship anyways. Hopefully the hottie Kim's going out with now is a bit more her height. ^_^)
Kimberly Ann Hart was played by Amy Jo Johnson. AJJ was born on October 6, 1970 in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. She has an older brother and an older sister. She started studying gymnastics at age 7 and attended the Cape Cod Gymnastics Club for 10 years. She's competed in international level competitions in the US and Europe in eventes including the uneven bars, the vault, the balancing beam, and the floor excercise. Also a finalist in the Miss Teen Massachusetts competitions. At age 19, AJJ moved to New York City and then Los Angeles and got the part of Kimberly soon afterwards. She's currently married/engaged to Colin Mayo, a man that worked on the set of PR when AJJ was there.
Some of her hobbies are learning how to sing and play the guitar, and she also loves to oil paint (one more talent than me), read plays, and write in her journal. Her favorite color is purple (like me!) but she likes all colors of the rainbow. Her favorite ice cream flavor is Heath Bar Crunch and favorite author is John Irving.
When Amy Jo tried out for the part of Kimberly on PR, she didn't know any martial arts but was picked mostly for her gymnastics. She was most likely trained on the show and had help from her fellow co-stars like Austin St. John, Jason David, Frank, Steve Cardenas, and Johnny Young Bosch (I mean now those guys are great martial artists, if you've looked at their belt record, you'd know what I mean).
Amy Jo has probably done the most after leaving PR. She's starred in the movies Susie Q, The Perfect Body, Killing Mr. Griffin, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie, and Turbo: A Power Rangers Adventure. She's also guest starred in the TV shows Saved By the Bell, and Campus Cops. She is currently casted as a regular in the TV series "Felicity" on the WB network as Julie, Felicity's best friend. Amy is working on a new movie called "Pursuit of Happiness."
