In the episode "Redemption Day," Mike made his return. It turns out that the Magna Defender used Mike's spirit to escape from the crevase. He took over Mike's body, to put it simply. When the Magna Defender destroyed himself to save Terra Venture, Mike was set free.
In the episode "Destined for Greatness," the Magna Defender came to Mike and told him that he was to carry on in his footsteps and become the Magna Defender. It is also in this episode that we find out that it was Leo's destiny to become the red ranger, but it was Mike's to pull out the quasar sabre and hand it to Leo. As for his ranger hood, Mike's was destined to become the Magna Defender. Yay, rangerhood for Mike!
At the end of Power Rangers Lost Galaxy, Mike gave up his power so that Terra Venture and the rangers could escape the Lost Galaxy.
Mike Corbett is played by Russel Lawrence. Russel was born in Miami, Fl on March 11. The same day as CKL, if I remember correctly. He enjoys films and had always known he'd be an actor. His first job was at a local movie theater. Some of Russel's hobies include writing poetry, listening to "the Doors," and hanging out at Venice Beach.
Playing Mike on Power Rangers Lost Galaxy is Russel's first starring role. Besides that, he has also been on the "Young and the Restless" playing Matt Clark. Though PRLG has ended, and his role on the "Young and the Restless" was temporary, I know I speak for all when I say we hope to see him on the screen again.
