Zack Taylor, one of the original five. He was the first black ranger in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers the dinozord incarnation and the black ranger when they switched to thunderzord. Since not many of us seem to remember him doesn't mean we don't like him. Just for the fact that he was part of the original team means he's special and will always be remember one way or another.
Out of the group, Zack was the party animal. He was never afraid to be real, except when it came to snagging the beautiful yet cold Angela, who would never give him the time of day. Yet even though she continued to make a point of showing him that she wasn't interested, he never let up. True power ranger determination. Even when he did managed to get a date, Rita would always ruin it. Rather than stay and enjoy the night with Angela, Zack knew his duty and left each time to stop Rita's monsters and save the city. If only Angela knew the sacrifice.
Zack's personality was fun-loving. He was always cracking jokes, dancing up a storm, and wowing the ladies with his magic tricks. His fear of spiders and creepy-crawlies didn't cramp his style. Except on Venus Island, and a few other episodes in which Rita brought out bugs. But Zack always came through in the end. He had his friends there to help him, and he was a ranger till the end. Didn't fling back the coin into Zordon's face just cause he missed having a nice date with Angela, or he had to come in contact with his worst nightmares.
When Zack left for the Peace Conferences, along with Jason and Trini, he passed on his power to Adam in his place to battle the baddies. Rocky took over for him in his spot as team jokester/prankster. Wherever the conferences has taken him, you can be sure he's still dancing up a storm, wowing the ladies, and just being himself.
Zack Taylor was played by Walter Emmanuel Jones. Walter was born on November 30, 1970 in Detroit, Michigan. His favorite hobbies are scuba diving, bunjee jumping, sky diving, water skiing, gymnastics, and karate. Pretty much into extreme sports by way of sky diving, and bunjee jumping. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie would have been great for him. His favorite color was first bright red, then subtle turquoise, and now has shifted into forest green. Before moving to LA, he worked on a cruise ship. If he hadn't have landed that job on MMPR, Walter would have wanted to become a rap star with his dancing abilities.
Walter Jones has been a regular on Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. He's also been in "Backyard Dogs", "Love and a Bullet", "Mutiny", "The Dogwalker", "Talisman", "Brink!", "Clay Dogwalker", "Suckers", "Space Cases", "Malibu Shores", "American Gun ", and "Malcolm X." He's guest starred on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", "The Burning Zone", "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch", "Moesha", "Family Matters", "In the House", "Step by Step", "NYPD Blue", and "Power Rangers Lost Galaxy." The Lost Galaxy guest star, Walter was the voice for Nightmare in Dream Battle.
