I carved my first figure in 1984. After joining WWA I became the newsletter editor and photographer. I discovered I wasn't a carver and quit. In 1995 I tried a Wolfe pattern and it came out ok. I rejoined WWA and have been with them ever since. I have held all positions except Treasurer (which I won't touch). I am show chair for our Tualatin Crawfish Festival Show in August. I maintain the club website and continue to do the newsletter. My main carving subject is Santas. I always plan to do cowboys and Hopi Kachinas but so far - Santas. I am learning chip carving which isn't as easy as it looks. I enjoy meeting new carvers and taking photos. I look forward to improving if I ever quit watching movies and TV. (I am retired.)
