The WWF has continually begun taking angles far and wide, and to the EXTREME each and every week. And from what I'm hearing this week coming up, Dec. 7th, on RAW is WAR it will take one of the biggest steps towards, "PUSHING THE ENVELOPE", in the federation's history. However, that's still up and coming; for now I would like to focus on the new and upcoming superstar clan known as: The Brood.
Consisting of Edge, Gangrel, and Christian these mysterious superstars all have their unidentified pasts. I mean look at Edge, who supposedly at one point, hated Gangrel for matters of which we had no clue. Now, they have teamed up, alongside Christian(an outstanding LIGHTWEIGHT) to become a destructive force in the WWF.
As they began, they were as everyone would say, "CONTROVERSIAL". Why? Due to Gangrel's vampirish acts of spewing blood into the air before each match and entering the ring, rising through an entrance ramp filled with a square of fire, he quickly became one of the most UNPREDICTABLE SUPERSTARS around. As he began his path through the WWF, he took on people like Edge and developed into a monster HEEL role immediately. I mean you had your people who cheered him on, but the vast majority of the fans hated him!!! However, THINGS HAVE CHANGED. As he gathered together Christian, and began to gain the attention of EDGE, he began to gain the attention of the fans. And now, with Edge by his side, they have formed the alliance known as The Brood. Now, with their kick ass theme music (TELL ME IT AIN'T SWEET), the Brood has begun to win over some of these fans that didn't believe in them before. For example, has anyone noticed on the last couple RAW is WAR's the Brood has taken on D-Lo and Mizzark, who are supposedly heels right now, and they have also, just this past week, took on the New Age Outlaws. Again, NAO are tenatively looking into the CORPORTATE FAMILY, so could we see The Brood now being looked at as a fan favorite? Not quite yet, however. The Brood is gaining attention and growing popularity as the days accumulate. The last RAW was a good example, as all three made their way towards the ring, you could hear the cheers and the pops starting to come for these guys. They are young and extremely talented and well conditioned athletes that are going to lead the WWF into the next century of wrestling. If you ask me, this is just the beginning for The Brood and many other up and rising superstars in the WWF. Some to name quickly: The Rock, HHH, D-Lo, Mizzark, Ken Shamrock, Austin (gotta have him here), Mankind, and many many more.... However, mark my words, before we all know it, expect The Brood to be a fan favorite, just like Austin, it took time, but then again it's like they say, "All good things, come to those who wait."
