Edge
We only know the basic facts. He is six feet four inches, 240 pounds and hails from Toroto, Ontario, Canada. Beyond that, Edge remains a mystery - an enigmatic, tortured soul.
In the weeks leading up to this newcomer's debut, World Wrestling Federatin fans got a look into his strange world of chaos and darkness. One minute Edge would be luking in the shadows of some ghostly alley, and the next screaming from the roof of an abandoned building. Some say the superstar is in search of something to quiet his troubled soul. What that is remains to be seen.
Others suggest that his salvation is found in the Federation - why else would he be here? On the June 22 RAW IS WAR from Austin, Texas, Edge was slated to make his in-ring debut against Jose Estrada of Los Boricuas. Prior to the match, the newcomer was spotted by Federation cameras sitting on the RAW IS WAR stage staring out into the crowd, seemingly focused on the rage about to explode within him. Just minutes into the contest, he executed a moonsault over the top rope onto Jose, a move which resulted in a neck injury for Los Boricuas member. Edge won the match by countout and established himself as a force on the constant brink of unleashed destruction as well. Having experienced this first-hand, Jose was removed on a stretcher by Federation officials and medical staff.
Although Edge's Federation debut showed fans a part of his troubled soul, even more questions have arisen about his search. What is it he seeks on the other side of his world? What kind of wall keeps him from breaking through? And why does he always appear to be on the verge of rage one minute and to possess an eerie calm the next? Apparently, Edge will continue to leave us with these questions until he is ready to shed some light on his darkness.
