I still love reading this stuff even after
being away from the
"business" for two years. My wife
and I were in for 4 years and 4
months. We showed the plan consistently
for two years, 10- 15 times per
month. We sent out the 10 prospecting
videos (at $17 per video) more
than 200 times (spending $1.33 per mailing)
We personally sponsored 7
"legs" during that time. Perhaps
it was us, perhaps it was our upline,
we maxed out at 946 pv after that effort.
Our upline diamonds, ron
rummel; emeralds, dallas astler; pearls,
ruby and direct were at the
same pin (4 years later) that they were
when we joined. At about the
same time we stopped SOT, Go-Getter, BOM
and ordering, our upline
silvers and golds stopped working the business
as they were having the
same results we were. Now, two years
after "freedom" My wife and I are
happier than ever before, neither of our
cars have more than 20,000
miles on them and our bills get paid each
month with cash left over. I
know it works for some, but as they say...Some
will, I wont, so what?

.hey it was great to read your web site
my wife and i have been envolved
for about 1 1/2 years been taken for our
money and been abandoned
because
we cancelled sot/amvox and functions we
are making more now than before
we
saved about 200/mo since then we have gotten
on top of our bills. these
so
called friends we had never even recieved
a call from them. we still
purchase some of the products alot of them
do save us money and we are
pleased with how well they work we were
so involved with this i started
to
have amway withdralls when we quit. one
thing i liked about the business
was that it showed me how to prospect people.
i now use those techniques
to
prospect people to come to our church and
try to get them to except
Jesus
Christ as there savior
may God bless you

I was recruited into Amway a few years ago.
I quit after a few
months. I really liked the people but there
was always too much
presure to purchase things I didn't need
and to go to functions
that I could not afford. It only took me
about a month to
realize that the meetings were purely motivational,
with no
new information. My sponsors told me once
to often that I
"Must not be serious if I didn't attend
the next function", so
I quit. It still cracks me up when I remember
the look on their
face when I told them I was quitting.
They said, "Well, you know Mike, when you
signed the papers to
be a distributor, it was a one year membership.
You can't really
just quit."
"Oh my God! It is a cult!" I joked. They
didn't think it was very
funny.
Then they asked why I wanted to quit. I
told them that I couldn't
afford to be in this business. That I would
probably have to get a
better job just to be able to afford being
in Amwy.
Well, keep up the good work. People need
to see both sides before
they get involved in something this time

I don't Know who you are, and I am not going to comment on the remarks
you are addressing. But I know
that God loves you, and you should love him too, and get to know him better...
And I think an great way
to do it is by reading the Bible.
Take care and God bless YOU.

I am the mother of a Son in the Marines,
a 30 year old who has been
taken
over by Amway....We are so upset!
He is getting out of the Marines in
June,
he is a Captain with a great future....
His wife if bullied into
attending
meetings and to go out everynight inspite
of being tired from her
regular
job, saying it will pay off and never to
question him, and if she loved
him
she would support him. He plans to
do this full time, his savings is
dwindling down, not showing a profit.,
with no intention of getting
another
job to support them. He goes to every
Rally and travels even long
distance
for them. He doesn't want to associate
with anyone who is negitive. He
said I should blindly support him if I
loved him. Excuse me! Amway
success
is not the basis for a mother & Son
relationship!!!!! We are at our
wits
end, and I thank you for listing everything
just as we have seen it. It
has
been a year now, and he is off the deep
end, and can't see any of the
negitives. Only wish there was a
way to get him to see the light!!!
Crazed!! Mom

Well, the bathroom walls of the '90's cry
out! I didn't see your
references anywhere, so I assume you're
just another poor internet
junkie
detined to spent the rest of his/her productive
days trying to better
the
world through your keyboard. It is
so true that you can dig up dirt
about
anything on the internet, and this business
is no exception. I wonder
if
the marketing directors of AT&T, Gateway2000,
Coca-Cola, etc checked
your
site before they recommended their companies
network with Amway?
Might I suggest to those investigating
Amway and World Wide to
investigate
via credible resources. The Fortune
magazine, US News & World Report,
Success , Wall Street Journal, etc articles
may prove more credible than
this compilation of overnight experts.
Better yet, meet the people and
investigate them! Nobody's
perfect, and people mislead and get misled!
So meet some people!
I wonder what would happen if all
the time spent bashing, whining, and
crying over the internet was invested in
ones future, family, or
spouse??
Hmm?? The government says only 2%
of 65 yr old's are financially self
dependant? I'll work till I'm 72
years old? YOU BETTER DO SOMETHING!!
I'll stick with it!!!

i was recently invited to a major rally
of WWDB by a relative. i new
going
in that i was in for a spectacle.
still, i was amazed at how ludicrous
this event turned out to be:
the preposterous worshipping of
'diamonds',
the laughable 'plan', the shameless merchandizing,
the cheesey
entertainment. the whole scene was
hilarious, yet at the same time
deeply
disturbing.
