| In March 1996, we went back to Scotland. As it was Spring, and snow still covered the highlands, we decided to go on a historical tour. We rented a car from a Rent a Wreck type rental company, and drove about 1000 miles to various historical sites in central and southern Scotland. We did spend 2 nights in bothies, though, one near Hadrian's Wall in northern England,, and an abandoned one(with sheep manure on the floor) near Pitlochry.
