Apollo is the son of Leto and Zeus, also twin brother of Artemis. He is the god of the sun, music, medicine, and prophecy. Like his sister he is an archer. His sacred city is Delphi. His bird is the crow.
Apollo drives the Golden chariot drawn by firey horses. The wheels of the chariot are the sun. The horses names are Pyroeus, Aethon, Eous, and Phlegon.
The crow is black because Apollo sent him to watch over one of his consorts and make sure that she will be faithful. When the crow saw that she was not and reported back to Apollo, he changed him black in his anger.
