Hades is the God of the underworld. His roman name is Pluto, sometimes confused with the greek god of wealth, Plutus. Another name of Hades is Dis.
Hades' wife is Persephone, who is the daughter of Demeter and Zeus. He fell in love with her when she was picking flowers with her friends. He came up through the earth in his chariot drawn by black horses and carried her off the the underworld.
